
Joshua Crawford,
Project Specialist
Joshua’s background in managing projects through the CDBG program at the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) left him with a passion for helping his community and others like it. At GMS, he diligently researches communities and identifies specific strategies for promoting revitalization. He directly supports GMS’s project managers in developing high quality grant applications and managing post-award compliance. Joshua also possesses a valuable understanding of Pennsylvania’s political climate having previously supported government relations specialists at one of Pennsylvania’s premier state lobbying firms.

During his time at DCED, Joshua managed CDBG Entitlement, Discretionary, CARES, and Disaster Recovery funds. Whether it is overseeing a multi-million-dollar waterline extension or a small public park, Joshua brings the same level of intensity and professionalism to ensure every project has the most successful outcome possible.

While earning his bachelor’s degree in economics from Millersville University, Joshua spent his spare time organizing fundraising efforts for Feeding America and volunteering with the University’s Peer Health Educators.

Fun Facts:
Outside of work, Joshua loves to stay active. He enjoys playing in several pick-up soccer leagues, going on trail runs, and golfing as much as possible. Joshua also has a passion for live music and has attended over 50 concerts!
