
Kiera brings a passion for civic engagement, research, and writing to her role as Project Specialist at GMS. She supports project management and grant development, helping Pennsylvania municipalities and organizations secure funding for infrastructure, economic development, and community revitalization initiatives.
While earning her degree in Mathematics-Economics at the University of Pittsburgh, Kiera worked as a Senior Staff Writer for the Pitt News and conducted behavioral economics research as a Harvey Cohen Fellow with the Pittsburgh Experimental Economics Laboratory. Serving on the University’s Green Fund Allocations Board, Kiera reviewed funding applications and guided approved sustainability initiatives through the allocation process, gaining hands-on experience in project evaluation and resource management.
Kiera has also worked on multiple political campaigns and supported climate resilience projects through AmeriCorps. She is dedicated to leveraging her experiences and skills to strengthen communities across Pennsylvania.
Fun Facts:
Kiera enjoys spending time with her family and exploring her creative side through embroidery and painting. She loves playing tennis, reading, and discovering new places—especially antique stores and cozy coffee shops.
